Individual therapy

Private, safe, and non-judgemental

Individual therapy is the process of meeting with a therapist in a private, safe, and non-judgemental space. Some common topics and areas of exploration include:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Addictions

  • Interpersonal relationships

  • Mind, body, and behavioural health

  • Stress and how to manage stress

  • Life transitions and adjustments

  • Trauma

  • Personal growth and meaning making in life

Sessions are 50 minutes long and available in person or through online video call. A sliding scale fee is available for individual sessions in order to make therapy a sustainable process.

THE FIRST VISIT

The first session is an opportunity to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable to continue working together. It is also a chance to discuss in more detail what you hope to work on through therapy as well to go through any questions you have about the process.

By the end of the session, we will have determined whether working together will be a good fit for the both of us, after which if so, we will make arrangements for future sessions.

If working together is not a good fit, we will then discuss other resources or referrals that will better suit your needs.
